Owner/CEO
Hi, I’m Andrea, the founder of Agile Analytics. After earning my Ph.D. at the University of Texas (Hook ’Em!), I chose a path outside of academia—one that led me to my true passion: helping non-profits understand their impact and improve their programs.
Our work goes beyond numbers—we dig deep, ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and translate data into clear, actionable insights. And we do it while building strong relationships with our clients, grounded in trust, collaboration, and a genuine regard for their work.
It’s a privilege to work alongside clients who care deeply about their communities. I'm lucky, too, to work with a team that brings curiosity, heart, and skill to every project.
We’re based in Austin, Texas, and proudly work with clients across the U.S. and worldwide, though Central Texas nonprofits will always have a special place in our hearts.
Senior Evaluator
Hello! I'm Lindsay and I am a Senior Evaluator at Agile Analytics. For the past 15 years, I have enjoyed collaborating with schools, nonprofits, and public agencies to bring clarity and compassion to their research efforts. With a Doctorate in Educational Psychology and a Master’s in Quantitative Methods from The University of Texas at Austin, I have guided organizations to meaningfully evaluate social-emotional learning initiatives, college-and career readiness programs, peer mentoring programs, and community-driven programs.
During my decade at Austin ISD, I built robust databases, designed and implemented district-wide surveys, and led comprehensive evaluations on teacher effectiveness and student experience. Beyond K–12 education, I’ve worked on national projects in early literacy, mental health systems, and college access, always viewing each challenge through both qualitative and quantitative lenses.
I thrive in collaborating with clients to share my technical expertise and genuine empathy. I love working at Agile Analytics where I can truly partner with organizations and help make their work more meaningful.
"I would highly recommend working with Agile – their results, work style, commitment and end deliverables are exactly what we needed for our non-profit to help support our mission."
"Thanks for being such an amazing partner to me and to the Center. We are in such a better place because of your work."
"[Agile Analytics] always not only met but exceeded their commitments on deliverables both in quality and in timeliness. They were the right blend of professional yet fun to work with. They were always willing to provide feedback on our program based on their experience, even if it wasn’t directly part of the proposal."
"Working with Andrea Hutson and Lindsay Lamb at Agile Analytics was a great experience, really one of the highlights of 2020 for me. From the beginning they were very flexible and adaptable to our needs, which was critical as our program changed scope dramatically during proposal phase due to COVID 19 impacts in March 2020."
Here are just a few examples...
Understanding the impact of a nutritional intervention with older adults
For this randomized control trial study, Agile Analytics helped create the randomization structure, as well as analyzed the data for the stepped wedge design. In this type of study, groups receive the intervention at different points in time rather than all at once. In our study, one cohort received the intervention first, and after a mid data-collection point, the second group received the intervention. The design allowed us to work with both groups of adults and to see the effects of the intervention over time via a multilevel mixed effects model. The study is ongoing, but so far, we've found improvements in nutritional intake and technology use and access.
Understanding barriers to completion of a relationship skills program targeted at adolescents.
Completed a mixed-methods evaluation of the problem, including interviews, focus groups, survey data, and an interactive brainstorming activity with community partners. We found several barriers to student participation that were not able to be addressed by the program (such as competing priorities and lack of transportation) and found others that the program was able to improve (such as offering asynchronous virtual sessions). We also found that program completion was negatively impacted by feeling stigmatized, and were able to offer facilitators ideas to combat this issue.
Longitudinal study of a college preparation and support program.
In this > 10 year longitudinal study, we were able to see the effects of the college preparation and support program on students as they completed middle school, then high school, and finally entered college. Through Propensity Score Matching techniques, we were able to compare results for the intervention group with a control group of similar peers. We found that the program increased entrance into college, completion of college, and the earning of bachelor's degrees.
We work with the best people on the planet. A few of our clients include:
Believe that the story of your program can be boiled down only to 'success' metrics (like the percentage of students who meet standardized test achievement thresholds). There is much more going on, and we're committed to helping you capture the full picture.
Work with organizations that are doing evaluations only for compliance reasons. Evaluations require time, effort, and openness from everyone involved, and that shouldn't end with a report sitting on a dusty shelf. The organizations we partner with see evaluation as a tool for learning. They are willing to examine what’s working, acknowledge what isn’t, and use evidence to improve their programs over time.
Have the technical know-how necessary to conduct sophisticated studies/analyses (like multilevel modeling, propensity score matching, quasi-experimental designs, RCTs) that meet the highest standards. We also know how to explain these analyses in a way that actually makes sense for a variety of audiences.
We go beyond the numbers by engaging in meaningful qualitative analyses (like interviews, focus groups, surveys, coding open-ended comments) to elevate participant voices. Our collaborative approach to survey and interview design ensures we capture the right data to shed light on opportunities for growth and areas of strength.
Build real relationships. We care about our clients and the communities that they serve. We're professionals, but our style is friendly and open.
